PICTURE OF THE WEEK
The opening ceremony of the Lumiere Festival took place on Monday October 13th. Many actors such as Richard Anconina, Pierre Richard, Vincent Perez, Valerie Mairesse, Stéphane Audran, Zoé Félix, Mélanie Doutey, Laëtitia Casta, Julie Gayet, Elsa Zilberstein...film directors like Michaël Cimino, Bertrand Tavernier and the famous composer Michel Legrand gathered to celebrate cinema in the Halle Tony Garnier (Lyon).
After a flash-back on the previous ceremony dedicated to Quentin Tarantino, the guest of honor, Faye Dunaway, was heartily received by the audience.
Faye Dunaway was born on January 14th 1941 in Florida. She has starred in many successful movies such as Chinatown (1974), The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), Three Days of the Condor (1975)...She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie Network (1976).
The ceremony opened on the movie Bonnie and Clyde, for which she was nominated as best actress in 1967. Faye Dunaway was so touched by the audience's reception (and also tired because of the jet-lag) that she decided not to attend the diffusion of the movie.
